Behavioral Scientist PhD · Remote

Our analysts are not people, and they do not always reason like them. We want someone to study how their judgment holds, and how it fails.

  • A background in judgment, decision-making, or machine behavior
  • Comfort working where the literature runs out
  • Findings that stay inside the firm
Debate Designer Remote

Before we trust a thesis, we make it survive an argument. You would design how those arguments are run — and how they are made to end.

  • A background in competitive debate, rhetoric, or litigation
  • An ear for the difference between disagreement and theater
  • Comfort writing rules that others are paid to break
Adversarial Analyst Red Team · Remote

Your job is to be right by proving us wrong. Every position the firm is about to take, you try to break first.

  • Deep fundamental research experience
  • A temperament that prefers the dissent
  • A willingness to be unpopular and correct
Applied Mathematician PhD · Remote

We know what each company is worth. We need to know how a few hundred of them should be held together.

  • PhD in applied mathematics, statistics, or a near field
  • Probability, optimization, portfolio construction
  • Ease delivering the answer no one hoped for
Systems Engineer Distributed Compute · Remote

We run a great deal of always-on compute. You would keep it fed, scheduled, and honest.

  • Distributed systems at real scale
  • Calm under load, including at odd hours
  • Curiosity about what the platform is doing, and why
